Abstract Submissions

For Invited Speakers

Invited speakers have been sent an abstract template by email. Please save your abstract as a single Word document with the filename Givenname.Surname and email to:

Invited speakers should submit their abstract and register for the conference by the deadline of 15 September to secure their talk spot at the meeting.

For Posters

The organisers of Organic18 welcome abstract submissions for posters, especially from students and postdoctoral fellows. Please use the attached templates for Word and ChemDraw. Please don’t adjust the layout, style and size of the Word template. The ChemDraw template is a suggested starting point. Use of smaller structure settings is discouraged, as these are already quite small. Please print and make your own assessment of readability before submission.

We understand that your ability to obtain funding to attend Organic18 may depend upon being accepted to present. We will forward an acceptance letter to you within a week of receipt of your abstract.

Please let us know the following information at the time of submission of your poster abstract:

  • if you’re a student, the degree that you are enrolled in (Hons/MSc/PhD), and
  • your research group leader, school/department, and University Abstracts must be submitted as a single Word document saved as: givenname.surname.doc to:

Poster sessions will be held from 5-7 pm on Monday 3 December and Tuesday 4 December. All student and postdoctoral fellow posters will be judged on these two evenings and, on the basis of these evaluations, participants will be invited to present their work as a short research talk on the afternoon of Thursday 6 December (2-4 pm). Please come to the conference prepared with a short (10 minute) oral presentation, in the event that you are invited to speak.

Poster presenters should submit their abstract and register for the conference by the deadline of 15 October to secure their poster presentation at the meeting.
